Most of what an HR office is asked in a month is a question the employee could have answered themselves: what was deducted, how much leave is left, where last year’s tax certificate went. Each one costs a conversation, and the answer is read out of the same record every time.

The five questions
Ask an HR office what it was asked this month and the list is short and repetitive: what was deducted and why, how much leave is left, can I have last year’s tax certificate, can I have a letter for the bank, and why is this month different from last month. Every one of those is answered from a record the employee is entitled to see.
So they see it. Payslips for every approved month, on the rates that were in force in that month rather than recalculated on today’s. Leave balances showing what accrued and what was drawn. Provident fund statements, tax certificates and employment letters generated from the record instead of retyped by somebody who then has to remember to file a copy.
In the language the employee actually reads
The portal runs in Urdu or English, chosen per person. That matters more than it sounds: a payslip somebody cannot read is a payslip they have to ask about, which puts the question back on the HR desk it was supposed to leave.
It is built for the phone your staff own — older Android handsets, intermittent connections — rather than a recent device on a good line. The same constraint the parent portal is built to.
What it deliberately does not open up
An employee sees their own record and nothing else. There is no team view, no salary comparison, and no way to reach another person’s payslip from inside the portal.
Nor does self-service replace approval. Leave still needs approving and a correction to an approved month is still a recorded adjustment made by somebody with the authority to make it. Reading is self-service; changing is not.
